Known as the voice of the State Championship, as well as the Statistician of Michigan, Jeff Hollobaugh has been involved in just about every aspect imaginable in the sport of Track & Field. Now, retired from teaching, he spends much of his time coaching in the district he taught at, maintaining the best statistic website for Michigan prep-Track and Field (Michtrack.org), all while moonlighting as the associate editor of Track & Field News and the announcer of both XC and T&F MHSAA State Championship Meets! If that isn't enough, he recently published an outstanding book, How to Race the Mile (link) that covers many of the greatest competitions to ever take place over 1609 meters. He is a wealth of knowledge and we hope you enjoy this conversation as well as all the resources to the history of the sport he has given us.
